I have a special love and appreciation for my brother: His strength is courageous, his forethought to plan, to coordinate the funeral arrangements long ago were done with simplicity and flawless execution. Thank you David!

â€¢ You better increase the thickness of your skin by another inchâ€¦here let me help! 

I would have sworn from the time I was 12 until I was 17, the only mission my mother had in life was to embarrass me. If it wasn't her flip flops and bare feet at every event. Her snuff and spit cup which she flaunted like we do a bottle of water or a cell phone or her clothes she hadn't upgraded since the 60's: She decided one day it would be a fine idea to spray paint her car, herself, with a canâ€¦make that 8 cans of paint. The only thing was that after can # 2, she decided it was time to pick me up from school. She came to my high school with a graffiti looking, blue striped car down the sidesâ€¦I could have died! I prayed for the Lord at that moment on that very day to strike me dead with all the lighting in the world. 
When my mother taught you a lesson, boy it hurt sometimes! To make sure her lessons do not go unlearned; Some reporter, 10 years later, placed her on the front page of the Abilene Reporter News with the headline â€œWhy pay the money when you can do it yourselfâ€ with my mom, in the front yard, applying, what was probably her 5th coat of paint, as she had come to learn Krylon lasts for about 2 years on a car. Funnyâ€¦yes, but my mother prepared me for life like no other. In business and life when my ideas are accepted or rejected and when criticism finds itself my way: I take with clean stride your criticism and either accept it to make me better or I ignore it is of no consequence to me. Because my mother taught me everyone will not accept you so accept yourself. I learned to like me for me. Thank You Mom! 

â€¢ Patience

No one I have ever met and I pray no one I am to ever meet could annoy and aggravate me more than my mother. Boy, she had a way to get a nail and drive it so far underneath your skin to make sure you knew her presence was known. In two seconds she could turn a happy conversation into a fire filled volcano like no other. One thing this taught me is how to handle difficult situations and not to make decisions fatigued or too fast without asking questions and trying to discover all sides. There's more than just a hammer in the tool box.






â€¢ Love

There was never a day that went by whether I spoke to my mother or not that I doubted if she loved me! Sometimes we went lengths of time without speaking, and for no reason other than we had nothing to say to one another. She would call me when she wanted to speak to me and likewise I did the same. But never a day went by or a sunset that went down did I ever doubt my Mothers love. What a wonderful gift! Always selfless, always self-denying, always generous and always so loving to me. My Mother!
