

Tommy was born in Stamford, Texas April 18, 1954. He was a proud graduate of Lueders Avoca High School and a farmer there all his life. Tommy became a correctional officer in conjunction with farming in 1995. He met his wife 8 years ago dancing, which was one of his favorite things to do. Tommy loved to work horses with his brother and at his work with all his field officers. He had so many close friends, with whom he loved to laugh and make laugh.
Tommy will be remembered for his honesty, kind heartedness, humor, and beautiful smile. He was one of the most moral and hardworking man you could ever meet. If Tommy was not running, he was not living. He loved God, family, work, horses, and his farm!
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Simon Camacho, Sr. and his brother, Steven Camacho.
Survivors include his wife, Paige Polston Camacho; three children, Afton, Paisley and Peyton; mother, Rafella Camacho; brothers, Frank Camacho, Pete Camacho, Si Camacho and wife, Angie, Steven Camacho and wife, Diane, Jesse Camacho and wife, Teresa, and Simon Camacho, Jr. and wife, Christina; sisters, Lorina Olivares, LaLa Acosta, Lu Owen & husband, Kim, Janie Camacho, Mona Bray, Mickey New and husband, Michael, Beth Medina, and Sandy Baker. He was also survived by so many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1001 South Swenson, Stamford, Texas, with Father George Roney officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Funston, Texas, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory, Abilene, Texas. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Abilene.
