Antonio Elias “Tony” Vasquez, 67, passed away on Tuesday May 31, 2016 in Abilene. Funeral mass will be 10:00a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial following in Abilene Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2016 with a Rosary starting at 6:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Antonio was born on May 10, 1949 in Stamford, Texas. He was a retired forklift driver for the Coca Cola Plant in Abilene. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Geneva Vasquez; and his son, Antonio “Tony” Vasquez, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Amanda Vasquez; sons, Manuel Vasquez (Lezlee), and Danny Vasquez (Jessica); daughter, Lisa Estrada (Santos); brothers, Jesse and Juan Vasquez; sisters, Lina Ortega, Lola Sanchez, Mary Smith, Lydia Sanchez, and Lisa Bustamonte; grandchildren, Santos Jr., DeAnna, Abram, Lorena, Elisabeth, Elvira, Danny Jr., Antonio, Alyssa, Isaiah, Eli, Daisy, and Angel; and a great-grandchild, Liliana.
