Wiley Enriquez Rodriguez, Sr., 87, of Abilene, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 in Abilene. He was born on April 2, 1937 to the late Justo Rodriguez and Rita Enriquez Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army and had worked at Rose and Son Construction for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Juana Rodriguez; children, Dianna Adams, Guadalupe Wiley Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Dianna, Rita Shaw, Tina Mendoza and husband Raul, Anthony Rodriguez and wife Jennifer and David Rodriguez and wife Candice; brother, Santos Rodriguez and wife Janie; numerous loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wiley Jacob Rodriguez, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 US Hwy 277 South in Abilene. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel. A committal service will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene.
Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Shaw, Tyrell Shaw, Junior Gonzales, Gabriel Gonzales, Michael Gonzales and Shawn Rodriguez.
