Wilma Mae Desrochers, age 74, of Abilene, TX, passed away on March 5, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Roger J. Desrochers Sr.; devoted mother of Roger Jr., Roy, William, Thomas, Donald, and Sean; dear sister of the late Thomas McAuliffe and late Phyllis Louise Buzzard. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilma was born and raised in Alexandria, VA and lived in Somerville, MA for many years. She was a wonderful mother and a gracious grandmother. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for most of her life. She enjoyed caring for other people and worked for the Clarendon Hill Nursing Home and Malden Hospital until she retired.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 pm at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilma’s memory to the St. Jude Research Hospital. Arrangements under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, Abilene, TX.
