He was 67 years old, born on May 28, 1945 in Chipping Sodbury, Great Britain, the son of the late Dennis and Edna Cranch. He married Patricia Dunne on June 10, 1967 in Montreal, where they lived for 3 years. They moved to the area in 1971, where they enjoyed their life together, raising their family. In addition to his wife, Alan is survived by his daughter Terry Cranch (Sylvain Grenier), his son Marc Cranch (Crystal), his grandsons Jacob and Ethan, his sister Denise Brown (Ted) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alan worked as a Tool Designer at Blow Mold Tooling for over 35 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing.
He was a great mechanic and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to his music. Alan lived the way all people should: He got the most out of life by keeping it simple. He was an honest and dependable man, who always made his family his top priority. He had genuine warmth for others and was able to put people at ease through his knack for conversation. He will be deeply missed.
