

Betty passed away peacefully on November 27, 2013 with her daughter, Helen by her side.
Born January 11, 1926 in Glasgow, Scotland where Betty later, during the war, worked as a Streetcar Driver.
As a young girl Betty, moved with her family to Canada where she became a Canadian Citizen. Here she pursued a Nursing career in North Bay, Ontario where she and her husband Frank raised their family. After Frank passed on Betty met and later married Walter.
Betty lived life to it's fullest, even in her later years. Most important to Betty were her family and friends.
Before her health began to deteriorate she loved to go camping and never refused a dance.
After the passing of Walter, Betty lived with her daughter, Helen. Together they enjoyed shopping trips, casino runs, and tropical holidays too numerous to mention.
Betty was pre-deceased by her parents James and Helen Stevenson, step-father David Cherry, husband, Frank Hookway and husband, Walter McLeod. Children: David and Annette Hookway, daughter-in-law, Linda Hookway, and sister Sarah (Sadie).
Left to mourn Betty are her children: Helen Croghan, Acton, ON, and Kenneth (Laurie) Hookway, Melfort SK.
grandchildren and great-grandchildren Amy (Nick) Maksymyk and Lauren of Spruce Grove, AB, Stacy Hookway of Saskatoon SK, Carrie (Michael) Yurchuk, Erica and Niklas of Saskatoon, SK and Matthew Audette of Melfort, SK.
