Dear Tom, Chris, Greg and family:

My family and I would like to express our deepest condolences for the loss of your mom.  I am so sorry we did not attend the viewing due to the fact that we found out last minute through Tina.  

Katie was a wonderful womam/neighbour who I cared about very much, kind, loving and the friendliest woman you could ever meet. I have known her since I was 7 years old which is a very long time and have wonderful memories of her as I was growing up.  My greatest memories are just reminiscing on the porch about old times and I used to love her stories about her growing up in Germany, I will miss her very much!

GAMBELLO CRESCENT has never been and NEVER WILL BE the same without her.  May she rest in peace and we will all miss her very much!!

My mom and dad noticed your mom's obit in the Star this past weekend and alerted me to it. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. We all fondly remember your family and I still have memories of your mom at your birthday parties and school events, not to mention Halloween. I am very sorry for the loss of your mother.  As most of you know, your parents were very special to me.  I will never forget the two years that they took me under their wings.  I am very sorry that I could not attend your mom's services today, my planned obligations just wouldn't permit it.

I sent an email to Greg with a picture that my wife found over the weekend with me and your parents, hopefully he'll forward it to you.

Again, I am sorry for your loss and I wish I could be there.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family.  We are so very sad to hear about Katie, she was such a wonderful woman.

We had the honor and the pleasure to know your mother and are very sorry to hear about her passing. Katie was a wonderful woman which I have known for many years, and have had the pleasure of seeing on many occasions at special occasions or just casually at Maya and Chris' home.  It is never easy to lose a loved one, but, I'm sure Katie is in a peaceful place, and has found peace with her late beloved husband Frank. Dear Tom, Chris, and Greg........many, many years have passed, but her sense of humor and her joyful, head-thrown-back laugh is still fondly remembered.  She was a great lady, and I can just hear her say "Oh Frank!!!"  with a giggle up in heaven.  May your memories of her live forever in your hearts and provide a lasting legacy to her grandchildren.........

Just to let you know we are thinking of you.  To this day I can still taste the cheesecake with kiwi fruit she used to bring to Colgate and remember all the Pizza Hut dinners after hockey games.
