Madeleine (née Giguère) Neumann

Born in Montreal to Albert Giguère and Eva Briault, Madeleine carried with her the strength and resilience of her upbringing. She shared a lifelong bond with her sister Fleurette, along with Denise and her late brother Jean-Paul.

Madeleine was a devoted mother to Gary, a loving mother-in-law to Margaret, a proud grandmother to Ashley and Brett, and a cherished great-grandmother to Mia. Her family was always at the centre of her life, and she spoke of them often and with pride.

She lived through changing times and met life with determination and independence. Those who knew her understood her strong will and her depth. She experienced both joy and hardship, yet endured with courage.

In 2002, she moved to Georgetown, where she built new friendships and remained connected to family and community.

Madeleine’s life was rich with stories — of Montreal streets, youthful adventures, motherhood, and resilience. She will be remembered for her strength, her honesty, and the lasting imprint she leaves on those who loved her.
