Mel passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in his 79th year.
He was the son of James Dustin Lowrie and Margaret Myrtle Jane Locker.
Mel is survived by his sisters Innes Lemmer and Florence Martin, and seven nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers William and Mansell.
The family will receive friends at the Eden Mills Presbyterian Church on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from one o’clock until the funeral service, which will be conducted by the Rev. Linda Paquette at two o’clock.
The interment will follow at Eden Mills Cemetery.
