He was the loving father of Melissa Toth-Rooney and father-in-law of David Rooney.
Grandfather “Pops” to Curtis Travis Michael Rooney, Emma Kathryn Rooney, and grand-dog Evee.
Tragically predeceased by his son, Travis Gordon Hall Toth (2000). Gord was the son of the late William Toth (1984) and Margaret (Cleghorn) Toth (2010) of Acton. Loving brother of Ann Toth of Sherwood Park, AB and uncle to her four children, Whitney Karst, Zachary Toth, Harrison Toth, and Nadine Toth.
Beloved brother of Katherine Toth of Acton who shared the family home with him over the last two years.
Nephew to Evelyn Cleghorn and Mary Telford. Cousin of Raymond Toth and many other cousins.
Gord spent his working life as an automotive mechanic, firstly apprenticing with his father. He continued to work as a mechanic in Georgetown and Acton until 2011.
Gord was a member of the Golf North Golf Club and the Acton Curling Club for many years as golf and curling were his passion. He was happiest when he was golfing and curling and mostly socializing.
Memorial Visitation will be held at
Knox Presbyterian Church, 44 Main St. N., Acton, ON
Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Memorial Service to follow at 12 noon.
A private family Interment of cremated remains will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
