

G. Jerry Casalinova (89) Passed on January 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Natalie; parents Mary and Tony, father–in-law Charles Triola; brother Anthony; sisters Chena, Liz, and Barbara; –in-laws Mary, Ange, and Lawrence (Mary) Triola, Donald Mills, Ralph Spano, and John DiRoberto. He is survived by, and will be greatly missed by his five children: Mary Strandemo (Rob), Chuck (Cheryl), Jerry (Kimberly), Mark (Kaedra), David (Tina); Grandchildren: Brian (Kari), Jason, Sarah, Jessica, BreAnna, Kyra, David Jr., Greydon, Mark Jr., Angela, Dominic; and two great-grandchildren: Kailyn and Cole. Siblings: Bill Caslin (Jill), Ronald (Karen), Frank (Rose-Marie), Joseph (Monica), Teresa Quarterella, Monica Montanaro (Joseph), and Francis DiRoberto; and brother-in-law John Kanche. Jerry will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and clients.
Born April 24, 1926 in Searights, PA. Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 and served 24 months in the Asian Pacific. After the war he served six months in Japan during the initial occupation. Jerry moved to Akron, Ohio in 1946 where he worked at B.F. Goodrich, while attending the University of Akron and the Akron Law School. He passed the Bar Exam in 1954; and was a member of Ohio, Akron, and American Bar Associations, plus the Ohio State Bar College. He continued practicing law, advising clients, friends and family until the very end. Jerry will be remembered for his leadership, work ethic, wisdom, generosity, and humor. His family would like to express their gratitude for all of the Summa Healthcare Professionals that cared for him in his hospital, rehab and hospice experiences.
