Harvey Daniel Johnson

A proud veteran of the Korean War serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force, Harvey retired from McNeil-NRM Inc. where he was an industrial engineer for over 40 years. Harvey was a past member and chairperson of the A.A.I.E. (the American Association of Industrial Engineers), and member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Harvey leaves behind his wife Pat, children; Bob (Amy), Nancy (Robert) Cunningham, and Sandra (Roger) Hicks, grandchildren; Christopher (Donna) Hicks, Alison (Brian) Wu, Adam Hicks (Gretchely Rodriguez), Steven Johnson and Ryan Cunningham, Step-grandfather of Jacob, Jordan, and Jillian Mottayaw. And Great grandfather of Dominick and Taylor Hicks and Blake Wu.

Harvey also leaves behind his constant companion and love of his life, Sam, his Shih Tzu.

Family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, from 1-4 pm at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, where funeral services will be held following visitation at 4pm. Inurnment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Harvey’s name to the Humane Society of Greater Akron 7996 Darrow Rd. Twinsburg, OH 44087.
