John H. Galloway, age 80, of Akron, passed away suddenly December 8, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Elouise (nee: Royer). Dear father of Guy (Inez), Arlene (Bennie) Crites, Chuck (Mary), and Rhonda.
John was a loving grandfather of Christy (Jody) Palmer, Becky (Chris) Yaeger, John (Kendra) Galloway, and Michelle Galloway and great-grandfather of many.
A proud United States Army veteran, John served in the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient, John later acted as Chaplain, donating his time with the Disabled American Veterans chapter 35, C.I.A. H12 Company, Purple Heart local #699 and Korean War Veterans #148.
Family and friends will gather Friday, December 16, from 4-7pm with a memorial celebration at 7pm at Trinity Church of the Nazarene 2780 Canton Rd. Uniontown, OH 44685, Pastor Bradley will be officiating.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, December 19th at 2:30 p.m.
