Timothy Michael Heffernan

Tim Heffernan, 73, passed away on April 22, 2022 at home surrounded by family. He was born December 28, 1948 to Louis and Janet Heffernan and was a 1966 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tim is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jackie Takacs Heffernan, sister Julie Grzeschik, children Mike (Michelle), Kevin (Kim), and Jeff (Brittany) Heffernan, Jerry (Marci) and Janel Takacs, as well as 12 grandchildren with his first great grandchild due in May.

Tim enjoyed many years of playing softball and bowling with his buddies from the Polish American Club and was a Cleveland sports enthusiast. He and his wife Jackie enjoyed traveling, with many trips to Daytona Beach, Siesta Key, and Las Vegas. We would like to thank Eric Lauck, Gary & Monica Letta, and Gary & Linda Lyell for all their love and support, as well as our January family at Siesta Royale. We will all miss Tim’s unconditional love and sense of humor.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at The Cleveland Clinic for their care through this journey. A private burial service will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/donatetoday.
