

Our Father and friend, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, now at peace. Went home to be with the Lord on April 29th, 2015 at Visiting Nurse Service Hospice in Copley Ohio.
He was born in Greenville PA and grew up in Jamestown PA where he learned to love hunting, fishing, and being on the water. After graduating from Jamestown High School in 1943, he joined the United States Army Air Corps. He served as a Tail Gunner on a B-17 Bomber in the 15th Army Air Force, 96th Squadron, 2nd Bomb Group, 5th Wing. Bill was stationed in Foggia Italy, Amidala Airbase. After returning at the end of WWII, he attended Grove City College, finishing at Case Western Reserve College in Cleveland.
In 1947 he fell in love with and married Eleanor, his wife of 57 years. He was the owner of Business Forms Management for 25 years, working with his wife and partner, Eleanor and his son Bill. He is a past Commander of the Copley VFW and Copley American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his Father, William Gribble, and Mother, Lillian Gribble, and Wife Eleanor Gribble. He is survived by his sister Ray Marie Brooks, Children: Bill (Eve) Gribble, Greg (Hanna) Gribble, Mary (Chuck) Askew, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

Family will receive friends at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME 3653 W.Market Street, Fairlawn Friday May 1st, 4-6pm
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 5/2 10am at CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME. The service will be followed by a graveside military service at Copley Cemetery, 3770 Copley Road, Copley, Ohio.
