

William (Bill) Conrad Mears, 78, passed away October 03, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Akron, Ohio in 1933, to his late parents Billy and Hilda Mears. He attended Buchtel High school and was a 1st team All City Offensive End. He attended Ohio University and graduated from Akron University. He went on to receive his master’s in business from Harvard. Bill was an Military Veteran and was stationed in Germany. He built a successful Accounting, Tax and Physician Practice Management business in Akron, Ohio helping physicians set up and manage their practices.
Bill had a love for life; he enjoyed family vacations and was always on the go meeting new people and networking. He only knew one way to live life; with a positive spirit and a passion to learn. He stayed positive even through the tough times. As he battled Alzheimer’s disease he remained happy, laughing and smiling. He adored his children, always wanting to help them and make a difference in their lives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lyn Mears. He is survived by his former wife, Mary Mears and their son Craig William Mears, his former wife Judy (Sense) and their children, Kurt William Mears and Kristin Ann(Maynard); 4 grandchildren Tyler, Tyson, Jaxon and Taylor; daughter in law Kelly Marie Mears; son in law Matthew Maynard and future daughter in law Jackie Milligan and many loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a loving thank you to the nurses and health aides that helped care for Bill at Bath Manor.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 6th at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St. (Fairlawn), where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Jennifer Lyn Mears Memorial Book Fund c/o Bath School Library. Checks made payable to Revere Local Schools, P.O. Box 340 Bath, OH. 44210.
