

Jack was born February 8, 1939 in Bone Gap, IL. His parents were Raymond and Edna (Gumbrell) Kelsey. He married Linda J. Gray, August 15, 1959 at Bone Gap Christian Church.
Jack was employed for Wabash Valley Service Company for 42 years and also continued to farm. He was a member of Little Prairie Christian Church where he taught Sunday school for many years and previously served as an elder. Jack participated in 2 medical mission trips serving in Honduras. He also served several terms on the Wayne-White Electric Co-operative Board and was a former 4-H leader of the Blue Ribbon 4-H Club.
Jack never met a stranger. He loved his wife and was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Jack is survived by his wife Linda of Albion, 4 children; Pam (Bob) Maher of Boonville, IN, Doug (Lynn) Kelsey of Normal, IL, Todd (Marilyn) Kelsey of Albion, IL, Kindra (Kevin) Schnicker of Ellery, IL, 2 brothers; Eugene (Lulu) Kelsey and Ronnie (Linda B.) Kelsey both of Bone Gap, IL, 9 grandchildren; Morgan, Mallory, Madison, Marissa, Nathan, Drake, Chris, A. J., Cade, 1 great-grandchild; Kaysen and a close family friend Barry Hodges.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A “Celebration of a Life well lived” for Jack will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:00am at Little Prairie Christian Church west of Albion with Pastor Tom Cater officiating. Burial will be in Little Prairie cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at the church. Ingram Funeral Home of Albion, IL is entrusted with all arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Little Prairie Christian Church Building Fund.
