Max Darrell Reid

Max was born July 14, 1938 in Bone Gap, IL to Carrie (McDowell) and Lester M. Reid.

He married JoAnne Yvonne Smith Hayes on December 21, 1968 in McLeansboro, IL.

Max was a former truck driver, who worked for Gulf Oil Company. He attended Gospel Chapel Church in Bone Gap. Max thoroughly enjoyed being with his family and visiting with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward Ellis and Norman B. Reid, one sister, Mary Lou Gumbrell , one brother-in-law, Willard Gumbrell 2 nieces, Carla Rose and Kelly and 1 nephew, Donnie.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne of rural Albion, 2 daughters: Vicki (Britt) McDaniel of Champaign, IL, and Christy Coleen (David) Kleinschmidt of Grayville, IL. He is also survived by sons: Darrell (Suzann) Reid of Normal, IL, Shannon (LaDonna) Reid of Albion, step-sons: Mike (Karen) Hayes and Robert (Michella) Hayes, all of Dixon, KY and 18 grandchildren: Matthew, Tasha, Chelsea, Nick Brittany, Hayley, Kaitlin, Turner, Brian, Ashley, Emily, Jamie, Haley, Jacob, Levi, Kalli, Madison, Tristen, and 9 great-grandchildren: Laine, Callie, Lily, Celia, Carson, Lacy, Alaina, Reagan, and Hunter.

Funeral Service for Max Darrell Reid will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL, burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, West and South of Albion, IL.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
