Verna Louise McKinney

Verna was born on January 11, 1930 in Mt. Erie, IL to Elizabeth (Palmer) and James Weisenberger.

She married Horace A. “Shorty” McKinney on August 19, 1953 in Albion, IL.

Verna was a member of the 1st Apostolic Church of Mt. Carmel. She was a loving mother, grandma, great-grandma and most recently, great-great grandma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived by her son, Ardele (Vicki) McKinney of Mesa, AZ, 3 grandchildren: LaVonna (Mike) Neumiller, Leslie Chiarello and Jackie McKinney all of Albion, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Ethel Wilkins of Olney, IL and Nadine (Carl) Deom of Carmi, IL, and two brothers: James (Irene) Weisenberger, Jr. of Mt. Carmel, IL and Cowboy (Helen) Weisenberger of West Salem, IL.

Funeral service for Verna Louise McKinney will be held at 7PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL.

Visitation will be held from 5PM to the time of service at 7PM.

Cremation will take place after the services, and a graveside service for inurnment of cremains will be held at 10AM on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Samaria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the 1st Apostolic Church of Mt. Carmel.
