Albert George Gifford

Albert G, Gifford age 92 of Albion passed away peacefully in his home under the loving care of his family and Elara Caring Hospice. He was born at his family’s home on April 15, 1929, in Rural Superior, Ohio the son of Royal E and Cora (Shaffer) Gifford and they precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by 3 wives: Christine Gifford, Doris Gifford, and Doris Jacobs, a son, David Gifford, granddaughter, Tina, grandson, Jeffery, and sister, Alma.

Albert served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy and attended Michigan State University. He was a hard worker and spent the majority of his work on the farm. He loved to work and was always busy doing something. He also loved hunting, fishing, building things, camping, gardening, and traveling. Two of his favorite destinations were to his cabin in Canada and his property in Mexico.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory 3 children: Carrol Kenyon, Ricky (Patricia) Gifford, Shena Martin, 3 grandchildren: Michael, Jennifer, and Lane, great-grandchildren: Autumn, Jordon, Kaine, Rebekah, Kooper, Robert, Clayton, and Kylee, great-great-grandchild, Asher and close friend Patricia Day.

According to Albert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 2 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion. A Military Honor Service will follow at the funeral home.
