Carol Ann Verbarg-Al-Saadi

Carol was born on February 21,1941 in Jackson, Michigan. She was the only child of Oscar and Irene Verbarg. She graduated from Jackson High School, and Jackson Community college.

Carol was an accomplished pianist and dancer, using her talents to perform as a Clark Lake Player (summer stock) in the early 70’s. She was an avid reader and a knitter. Her skills with sewing machine was surpassed, making beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren.

Carol was married and blessed three times in her life. Her first marriage was to Rodney Johnson Jr. which gave her 2 beautiful daughters Constance and Rachael. Her 2nd husband Frank R Jacobs resulted in getting her 5 beautiful stepdaughters, Deborah, Diane, Dodie, Darlene and Dawn Jacobs. Her third and last love that she married was Naji Alsaadi who preceded her to heaven. Their union blessed her with his son Fait, Abdul, Haithm, and Mohammed and Naji’s daughter that are still in Yemen.

Carol is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole (Cameron) Atchison and their children; Amea, Amelia, Cameron II, James Laurence and his daughter Lilly Weicht. Grandsons Ricky and Christopher Lerma, Granddaughter Meghan Hall and her children Davionte, Damion, Darkel, Delviair, Julia Marie, Maryjayne and David. Her grandson Nathan Hall and his son Mason, and grandson Stefan Vise. She is also survived by special long term friends Robert and Sandra Harkins.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Naji.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 12:30 P.M. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home. The celebration of life funeral service will be held Monday, November 13 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224 with Joyce Moore officiating. Interment will following the service at Rose Hill Cemetery, 1210 West Street, Eaton Rapids, MI. 48827.
