Donald L Laird

Donald L. Laird, of Parma, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at Carelink of Jackson. He was born November of 1932 in Jackson, Michigan to Floyd and Helen Laird. On May 12, 1956 he married Beverly J. Dean who preceded him in death in June of 2005.

He was in the Army during the Korean War. Don worked as a journeyman electrician for many years as well as farming. Don was a life member of the Parma Outdoor Club and he loved riding his gator around the farm making sure everything was in its place.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Carelink for all the wonderful care that they gave to their dad.

Daughters- Mary West of Jackson

Sarah Washburn of Parma

Son; David (Kristi) Laird of Jackson

(8) Grandchildren

Sister- Ila Mae Lagow of Parma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son Dan.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Williams officiating. Burial of the Cremains will be at the Pherdun Cemetery in Sandstone Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society which is available at the Funeral Home.
