Esther Arlene Lance

passed away February 5, 2013 at home after a long courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was born July 7, 1939 to Richard and Lucille (Gridley) Little in Albion, Michigan. On

February 20, 1960 she married James Lance who survives.

Esther was a graduate of Washington Gardner High School Class of 1957. She lived all of her

life in the Albion Area and 25 years at Duck Lake. She worked for worked for Bank of Albion,

she then worked for the Albion Schools as an Aid to the school nurse, Owner-operator of Montgomery

Wards Store in downtown Albion. She retired from Albion College from the accounting

department as a cashier. After retirement she volunteered her time at the Folks Senior Center.

She enjoyed planning reunions for family, her high school and various work reunions and her

many vacations to Mexico and parasailing. She loved gardening landscaping, but above

all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Children- Michele Penton and David (Amy) Lance

(5) Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, son John, grandson Harrison, brothers Jerry, Rodney

and Keith Little.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at J. Kevin Tidd

Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Chaplin Ken Ponds officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at 12:30 P.M. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Forks Senior Center of Albion which

is available at the funeral home.
