Jonathan Grant Burgess

Jonathan Grant Burgess, age 66 of Albion passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his residence. He was born in White Plains, NY. Mr. Burgess received his bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon College. He had a wide variety of occupations and he retired as an ASE Certified Mechanic. Jon enjoyed the outdoors and when his children were younger he would take them on adventurous fishing trips to Belize.

He is survived by:

Son: Jesse Burgess of Falls Church, VA

Daughter: Jerusha Burgess of Madrid, Spain

Father: Price Burgess of Albion

Sisters: Deborah Burgess of Portland, OR, Abigail McMillan of Albion and Dr. Sarah Burgess of Eau Claire, WI

Brother: Joel Burgess of Manchester, CT

Jon was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Burgess

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00AM at Riverside Cemetery, 1301 S. Superior Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with

Father Evangelos Pepps of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church officiating.

Immediately following there will be a Memorial Service at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, 810 Austin Ave. Albion.
