
Rehabilitation. Julia Peck was born on July 27, 1935 in Gaines, Michigan to George and Neva Peck.
Julia graduated from Durand High School in 1953. She started her career in the insurance arena in
Midland, she then moved to Flint where she worked at various insurance agencies until her
retirement in 1997.
In 1997 Julia moved to Homer to be closer to her sister, Lois Peck and brother, Wayne. She
eventually met her next door neighbor, Harold Duncan, and they became very good friends.
in February, 1999 Harold and Julia were married.
Julia most enjoyed being with family. She looked forward to each holiday and other occasions
with all family members gathered around the dinner table. Julia also was a “veteran shopper”.
she could shop all day…and often did, leaving those with her exhausted.
Julia is survived by her sister, Lois Peck of Homer; her brother, Wayne (Carol) Peck of Homer; nieces
Stephanie (Eric) Janzen of Laingsburg; Sharlene (Joe) Roblee of Homer; April Peck of Homer; nephew
Steve (Trista) Peck of PawPaw; great nephews Ben and Brett Janzen; great nieces Michelle and
Melodie Roblee; stepdaughters Kay (Tim) Wolff of Litchfield; Tina (Steve) Avery of Homer; stepsons
Frank (Shirley) Duncan of Quincy and Edward (Tracy) Duncan of Hillsdale; many step-grandchildren
and step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents in 1980 and 1989 and by her husband, Harold Duncan in
February of 2003.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 9, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 –
8:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. A
Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oakwood Cemetery
in Gaines with Rev. Robert Baxter officiating.
