

Karen Ware age 66 of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Monday September 18, 2017 at her home. Karen was born on August 14, 1951 in Greenville, Alabama to the late Woodrow Wilson, Sr. and Lillie B. (Simpson) Wilson, one of eleven children.
Karen attended Albion Senior High School and was a 1969 graduate. She was the proud mother of two children Maurice Devon and Tamara Nishay. Karen worked several positions throughout her
Career, most recently at Hartsfield International Airport as a Security Associate. Karen’s hobbies included shopping and having long in-depth phone conversations with her 6 sisters and lifelong best friends Brenda ‘Tootie” Wingate, Doris McCracken, Wilburt Golden, Willie Mae Sommersle. Karen also enjoyed dressing “to the nines” and entertaining family friends with her unique brand of humor and wit. A unique soul who kept it “100”, Karen never had a problem telling
you what she thought in her special way and unique use of the English language. Known for her many “Karenisms” such as ‘Maple Syrup” “chile please” ‘and chile, sit on down’, she will be greatly missed.
Karen is survived by daughter Nishay Ware, Atlanta Georgia and son Maurice (Paula) Ware, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Sisters, Barbara Wilson Simpson, Syracuse, New York, Patricia Washington, Albion, Michigan, Glenda Wilson, Albion, Michigan, Sue Wilson,
Albion Michigan, and Trudy Wilson, Lansing, Michigan; Brothers, Woodrow Wilson Jr, Albion, Michigan, Karl (Connie) Wilson, Lansing, Michigan, Randall Wilson, Lansing, Michigan, and Anthony Wilson, Detroit, Michigan; 7 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grand
Children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, extended family, and friends.
Karen was proceeded in death by her Father, Woodrow Wilson Sr., Mother, Lillie B. Wilson and Sister, Dorothy Height.
Funeral Services will be Saturday September 30, 2017 at 1:00PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor Bobby McKenzie officiating.
Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens.
