

Kathleen Anne Haight age 88 of Litchfield passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was born August 4, 1933, in Oxford, MI the daughter of Don and Jane (Lockwood) Dewey who precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite Dewey, a granddaughter, Erin Krinock, and her son-in-law, Reid Krinock.
On January 1, 1952, Kathleen was united in marriage to her soulmate, Herbert Haight in Homer, MI while he was on leave from the Navy and he survives. She loved and embraced the Military life and when Herb was honorably discharged home, they worked their farm together. Being a city girl, she loved and embraced the farm life as well. She loved raising the little calves and even spent a lot of years as a 4-H leader following the lives of her 4-H kids into their adulthood. Kathleen also loved her church and was an active member there, especially with the children’s choir and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, upholstery (operating her own upholstery business for a time) and loved to play Pinochle. Her family will cherish the many games they’ve played with her over the years but especially over the last few weeks before her passing.
In addition to her loving husband of 70 years, Herb, Kathleen is survived by 3 children: Stephen (Susan) Haight, Anne Krinock, Dan (Shelly) Efstathiou; 6 grandchildren: Andrew (Jamie) Krinock, Kyle (Karlie) Krinock, Leah (Kevin) Dunn, Meredith (Brad) Grace, Megan (Gary) Ledgerwood, Mitchell Haight, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Kathleen’s family will celebrate her life on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 beginning with visitation at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM at First Baptist Church, 6630 Litchfield Rd., Litchfield, MI with Pastor Brent Stille officiating. She will be laid to rest following in Cook’s Prairie Cemetery.
