

Lee Ann Sandra Van Schoick, a beloved and cherished sister, aunt and friend, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on February 2, 1954, in Mesa, Arizona, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Maggie (Derrickson) Van Schoick. At the age of 5, her family relocated to Albion, Michigan.
Lee Ann was a proud graduate of Albion High School and Kellogg Community College, ultimately obtaining her Teaching degree from Spring Arbor College. In her formative years, she was actively involved with the Albion Free Methodist Church.
Lee Ann is survived by her sister, Deanna Woodliff, and her nieces and nephews: Marla and Shawn Sanford, Rebecca and Jason Edler, Gary and Sue Woodliff, Glen and Marcia Woodliff, Mark and Cheryl Ellenwood, Matt and Jodie Ellenwood, and her uncle, Kenny Van Schoick. She also leaves behind numerous grand nieces and nephews.
Lee Ann had a passion for mystery books and was an avid fan of Dr. Who. She found joy in online video puzzle games and had a special fondness for cooking, particularly Christmas cookies. Her cats, Seamus and Baby, were her cherished companions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Judy Ellenwood, brother-in-law, Gene Ellenwood, and brother-in-law, Wesley Woodliff, as well as a close friend, Jenny Chapman.
Lee Ann will be remembered for her thoughtful nature and the love she shared with her family and friends.
According to her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Cascades Humane Society (1515 Carmen Dr, Jackson, MI 49202).
