Maria Elena Tonche age 53 of Homer passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson. She was born March 19, 1968 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Felipe and Wanda (Mast) Tonche and they preceded her in death.
Maria loved country music, watching comedies and had a soft spot for animals; rescuing several animals over the years. But most of all, she was a very dedicated and loving mother who’s proudest job in life was raising her two boys, Brandon and Derrick. Brandon preceded her in death in 2019 and she missed him dearly.
Maria leaves to cherish her memory, son, Derrick (Breann) Tonche of Albion, 2 brothers, Phil (Wendy) Tonche of Springport, Jason Sherman of Saranac, MI and several nieces and nephews.
According to Maria’s wishes, cremation will take place and the family will hold private services at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun County Humane Society.
