Martilda Jane Thacker

Marty enjoyed Gospel music and the Church. She loved her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She enjoyed gardening, blue and yellow flowers were her favorite. She married the love of her life on August, 22nd 1992, Philip Thacker in Albion, MI.

Martilda is survived by her husband, Philip Thacker; sister, Velma Watkins, Albion of MI; brothers; Ernest Slone, Thomas (Lori) Slone, and Stanley Price of Albion, MI; children; Rick (Debra) Slone of Olivet, MI, James Adams of Jackson, MI, Debra (Keith) McConnell; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Martilda is preceded in death by her parents; John and Lonadell Slone; brother, John Archie; sisters, Ruth Price, Anna Hamilton, and Roxie Ellen; and daughter, Donna Frost.

A visitation for Marty will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home. A visitation will also take place on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM and Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion, MI.

Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
