Mattie E. Barlow

She attended Albion Schools, was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Goodwill Singers in her youth. She wed William Coleman (had 1 son) and later Wed William Barlow. Friends with many though out her life. She loyally provided nursing duties at the V.A. Hospital in Battle Creek for 40 years, raised her son with integrity, had a few hobbies and dreams, maybe not always understood but steadfast in her goals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both spouses and siblings Johnnie (1945), Fred Jr. (1986), James (2002), Betty (2006) and David (2011).

To continue her memory she leaves her son D. Douglas (Lillian) Coleman,

Grandson Christopher, sisters Mrs. Helen Dixon-Hall and Mrs. Dorothy Merchant,

a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and sincere friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Tender Care/ Magnum Care, Tammy Lee and Heartland Hospice.

I praise God for her and every one of you.

Family Hour will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 10:00AM until

11:00AM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion with

Funeral Service starting Tuesday, November 18 at 11:00AM with

Pastor Steve Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, Michigan.
