

Noah E. Halstead, age 94 of Albion passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Magnum Health & Rehab of Albion. He was born in 1917 to Noah and Julia Halstead in Carterville, Illinois. In 1939 he married Julianne Wyckoff who preceded him in death in 1999. He later married Elsie Nees who preceded him in death in 2006.
He served in the Army during WWII, he also worked for Civilian Conservation Corp and he was well known for his patriotic suspenders.
Noah was a Supervisor at Union Steel for 42 years where he also worked for Harry Arquette Construction at the same time before he retired, then Albion Industries and Springport Steel, working was his hobby. He enjoyed golf, fishing, softball, camping at Lake Superior & Higgins Lake with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Post #55 of Albion, Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Jackson. He served in the Army during WWII, he was well known for his patriotic suspenders.

Son- Mike (Leslie) Halstead of Albion

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Deborah Clawson and a brother Kenneth Halstead
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Bishop Jerry Larsen officiating. Burial will be at King Cemetery, Devereaux Road, Parma, Michigan.
