Praying for comfort of family at this time of loss!  Paul and I graduated class of 1963 from Washington Gardner H.S., Albion.  He was always very cool, calm and collected as a young man.

I was first introduced to Paul in the mid-70’s when I accepted a position at GM Powertrain Willow Run. 
Paul was tasked to train me in prepping instrumentation and setting up test vehicles. Paul’s sense of humor kept me on my toes.  At times, we acted like two kids just enjoying the moment, but we worked hard. He made it fun to go to work. We pulled pranks on each other, that would make us laugh until we teared-up.  

I remember one time, when I (the young Buck), told Paul (the Bear), that I could probably take him in a wrestling match, and yes, we were at work.  Well, I never did that again!  

Paul was more like a big brother than a coworker. We were both into fitness, and at that time we worked out at a Fitness club in Ann Arbor.   We would compete on the arm-curls, and he would always win, but I would always get him with the push-ups. 

We participated in company road trips across the United states where I would enjoy watching Paul intimidate the Engineers for messing with the instrumentation.  Most of them knew, and respected Paul.

Paul and I worked together for a lot of years! Even in retirement, though rare, I enjoyed the conversations that we would have. He was a part of the reason why I enjoyed going to work. He taught me a lot, and he will be missed.


Paul and I have known each other for over thirty years.   We often talked about activities in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area and our experiences working at General Motors.  I could always count on a joke from Paul to uplift a subject matter or bring a positive note to life overall.  I will sincerely miss a true gentleman and his contributions to the Michigan area.  

Paul will always hold a special place in my heart.  We met when he was stationed at Ft. Ord, California in 1971.  My mother introduced us and after a romantic fling we remained long distance friends all these years.  He was such a good man kind, strong and thoughtful.  He will be missed. Over the years we often shared pictures of  each others children and grandchildren, acknowledging the importance of family.  He served his country honorably in combat in Vietnam as well as stateside.  Though we lived thousands of miles apart we stayed in touch, sharing the ups and downs of our lives and those of our children and grandchildren - and his dancing adventures.  We talked a couple of months ago and something about the way he said "goodbye" said that would be his final goodbye to me.  Rest in peace my friend.  You're home now, in God's loving arms.   The light of God surrounds you, the love of God enfolds you and the presence of God watches over you.  I'll see you again one day. . .

My condolences to the family. Paul was years ago a client of mine (I’m an acupuncturist) and I was always  looking forwards to see him - he was a special person ! 

My condolences to the family. I  miss seeing Paul sit on his porch making sure all was well in the neighborhood. His passing has left a void in my life. I know he is in a better place. He was a good soldier until the end. Rest on my friend.

Paul was a wonderful friend with plenty of amusing stories. I met him over 20 years ago at his watering hole, Roundtree. Then later waited on him regularly at Banfields’s where I made sure the cooks gave him the biggest pieces of fish and the food came out hot enough to burn you or Paul was not having it! I loved him dearly and offer my sincere condolences to his family. Thank you for your service sir! Thank you for your friendship. May you Rest In Peace until we meet again.

Extending my deepest sympathy to the family of Paul Williams, Paul's smile will always be remembered , he brought such  happiness to so many people!
