

Roy S. “Hoagie” Hoaglin, age 85 of Albion passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Sunday, February 26, 2017. He was born September 30, 1931 to William John and Elizabeth (Chlystek) Hoaglin in Albion, Michigan. On May 5, 1951 he married Norma J. Anderson who preceded him in death on May 17, 2001, son Douglas Stanley Hoaglin, brother Thomas Hoaglin and sister Sharon Hoaglin.
Roy was a resident of the area all of his life, worked at Corning and Hayes-Albion as a pipe filter, he was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Albion Elk’s Lodge #1978, past Exalted Ruler and D.DG.E.R. and Third Degree Knights of Columbus of Albion.

Daughter- Pattie (Denny) Bartel of Albion
Sons- R. Kent (Elaine) Hoaglin of Albion
Jeff Hoaglin of Albion

(28) Great Grandchildren
Step-Daughter- Mary Ann (Dennis) Holley of Texas
Sister- Shirley Hoaglin of Duck Lake

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00PM at
J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finely Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Elk’s Lodge of Sorrow being held at 7:00PM and Rosary being held at 7:30PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 2nd at 11:00AM at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion with Father Joe Gray officiating. Visitation will also start at 10:00AM prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
