Shirley J. Kennedy

Ridgecrest Health Campus in Jackson, Michigan. She was born September 27, 1936 to

Clarence and Maude May (Lambert) Keifer in Albion, Michigan. On November 6, 1954

she married Winfred “Fred” E. Kennedy who preceded her in death.

Shirley was a lifelong resident of Albion she was a devoted wife and then became a

mother to her only child Johnny, who lost his life at a young age from an automobile accident.

Shirley was a Top Sales Avon Representative for many years and worked at Albion College

in the Food Service Department. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post#3672 and the

American Legion Post #55.

Shirley is survived by:

Sisters- Geraldine (Ed) Blodgett

Donna Cvitkovic

Step-daughter- Sue Binkley

Step-son- Bill Wilson

Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred, son Johnny, brother Willard Keifer,

sisters Ruth Kemler, Ruby Rampy, Barbara Williamson and Irene Hickerson.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at

Riverside Cemetery, 1301 S. Superior Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor Al Henson officiating.

Arrangements entrusted to J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Calhoun County Humane Society or Alzheimer’s Association

or Wounded Warrior Project.
