Steven was born on June 20, 1949 to Lester and Margaret. He was a graduate of Homer High School and went on to work for the Eaton Corporation in Marshall, MI for 39 years before retiring. Upon retirement, Steven worked as a semi- truck operator and finally as a school bus driver for the Calhoun County area.
Steven was a very active, yet simple easy going man who loved his family (especially all of his grandkids) and loved living life his own way. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, gardening, and attending his grandchildren's events. He especially loved spending Sunday afternoons in the fall watching Detroit Lions games with his beloved wife Joann. Steven loved food, especially seafood. He was always on the lookout for a good deal on King crab legs or oysters in a half shell and was a huge fan of shrimp and escargot. A plate of freshly caught bluegills and fried potatoes was always a treat. An avid "grill master" he was always trying to sear the thickly cut steak or smoke a rack of baby back ribs to perfection. He lived the majority of his life at his Lincoln Street home in Albion and took great pride in manicuring his yard, planting flowers with JoAnn and doing DIY projects.
Steven was preceded in death by his Father Lester Frederick, his Mother Margaret (Dean) Daglow, Brother Melvin (Ruth) Frederick, Sisters Elaine Sullivan, Josephine Weaver, Father in Law Joseph M. Corey, nephew Doug Frederick and cousin Ron Frederick.
