Terry Lee Prater

Terry Lee Prater, age 46 of Litchfield passed away on August 30, 2017 at his home, due to a life time of health issues. He was born April 7, 1971 to Abe and Betty (Patrick) Prater, he lived most of his life in the Litchfield area.

Terry attended Greenfield School (ISD) after school he worked at Key Opportunities, he loved bowling, shopping, and attending church. Terry was a member of the Church of god in Jesus Name and attended Grace Freewill Baptist, where he handed out the pamphlets, saying “ I made it and how are you today”. He loved everyone and never meet a stranger, saying Hello to everyone. Terry was always in good spirits despite his health.

Terry is survived by his parents Abe and Betty Prater of Litchfield; brother, Garry (Melissa) of Hudson; nephew, Brayton (Stefanie) of Germany; niece, Harley Prater of Coldwater, Sheanna, Takota, Sierra Voelzke of Hudson and great nephews, Gabe, Malaki, Leo Prater of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Monroe and Naomi Patrick; Thurman and Jane Prater; special Uncle Albert Sparks and several adult cousins and infant cousins.

When Terry makes it home with the Lord, I can imagine him saying I made it! And how are you today!

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 4, 2017 from 2:00 – 8:00PM at Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 16680 E. Michigan Avenue, Albion. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 5th at 11:00AM at Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 16680 E. Michigan Avenue, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Reverend Earl Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion.
