My condolence to Virgil's family on your loss. Knew and worked with Virgil at Hayes-Albion in the melt dept. It was a pleasure to work and have good times with him at Hayes-Albion. Sorry for your loss.

I was really sadden to hear of Virgil Taylors passing. Virgil was one of that last breed of Albion men that made/makes Albion special. I think men like Virgil especially black men need to be celebrated more. Virgil was one of the last generation of Albion men who went to the Vietnam War. Came home got their job back at the Malleable, got married, purchased a home, raised their children and were excellent providers for their families. Virgil and my father worked next to each other for many years.
Virgil was that special breed of man who liked to dress, I think he had a hat for every outfit. He enjoyed traveling, I can remember having a conversation with him on the block once when he told me I had to go check out New Orleans. (I still haven't been yet.) But Virgil also enjoyed gardening, fishing and kicking with the fella's. 
I still remember that Grand Prix that it seems like he kept for about 30 years.
To his wife Janet aka Peanut who I have known my entire life along with the rest of the Taylor and Thomas Family. My sincere condolences on Virgi'sl passing. May the God of our universe comfort and support you doing this challenging period in y'all lives. God Bless and yes Virgil I'm going to go visit New Orleans.

"Gimme some sugar Nay".  That's what my uncle Virgil would say to me when I was 4 years old. A very fond memory.  Sorry for your loss.
