He is survived by his wife, Gladys Habern and his two sons, Walter E. Habern Jr. (Jolina) of Brooklyn and

Lamar P. Habern of Belleville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Damara Habern, Devonta Habern, Allisa Meyer and Jaycob Meyer, two great grandchildren, Dean Meyer and Brett Meyer, two brothers Robert Atkins (Mary) of Montgomery, AL, Morris Atkins (Willa) of Tram, KY, cousins Sandra Wimberly of Albion, Brenda Davis (Tony) of Albion and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Walt enjoyed sports and watching his favorite teams Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and

University of Michigan Athletics. He also loved bowling and playing softball. Above all, he enjoyed

spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 18th at 11:00AM at Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, 711 Grace Street, Albion

with family hour at 10:00AM followed by a service at 11:00AM with Pastor Steven Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion.
