Donald Glenn Shipley

Shipley, Donald Glenn, 65 formerly of Knoxville, TN and currently of Russellville, TN went Home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 5, 2020. He was a former member of Grove City Baptist Church and Grace Bible Baptist Church in Knoxville and attended Victory Baptist Church and currently attended, Heaven's View Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville. Donald loved and served the Lord with all his heart. He was a longtime employee of Wal-Mart and Hardee's. Donald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with multiple talents to include musician, singer, carpenter, builder, cook, fisherman, tailor, electrician, and auto mechanic. God gave him too many talents to mention them all. He had a great personality with a beautiful smile. Donald never met a stranger and was a loyal friend. He will always be loved and missed by all. Donald was preceded in death by father, William A. Shipley; father-in-law, Lester Rainbolt; twin brother, Ronald Lynn Shipley; brother-in-law, Roy Scarbrough; his children's mother, Tammy Shipley. He is survived by wife, Debra Shipley; sons, Jon and Donnie Shipley; stepdaughters, Debra (Roy) Smuteck, Sarah (Tyler) Brumbelow; grandchildren, Ryan, Aiden, Olivia, Avangalee; mother, Alice Shipley; mother-in-law, Della Rainbolt; siblings, William R. (Cassie) Shipley, Sr., Mary Scarbrough, Carolyn (Steve) Ballard, Dorothy (Frank) Mitchell, Jerry (Sharon) Shipley, Glenda (Gary) England; brother-in-law, Norman Rainbolt; host of nieces and nephews. Due to the pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Flowers and memorial contributions may be sent directly to the family.
