Joy Sammons Wright

Wright, Joy Avery Dover Sammons, age 70, graduated to the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ August 8, 2014. Joy was born June 26, 1944 in Alabama. Preceded in death by husband, Omer J. Wright; father and mother, Earl and Flora B. Sammons; brothers, Ausbon, and R.B. Sammons; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Al Tuholsky; and special friend, Claudette Dover. Survived by sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen (Barney) Thomas; children, Junior Dover and Donna Breeze, Teresa Harrington, Renee (Jon) Luttrell, Phyllis (Rick) Morgan; grandchildren, Johnnie Dover, Samantha and Josh Frye, Michael Harrington, Thomas Carter and Christine, Frederick Matthew, Jennifer Breeze, Stephanie (Steven) Patterson; great-grandchildren, Jessica Hughes, Malachi Frye, Kaylee Dover, Damian Frye, Eli and Caleb Sneed, Ethan and Reese Patterson, Gabe, Angel and Daniel; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Joy Roden, Fay Dunlap, Bud Dover; a host of friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the pallbearers and Rev. Kenneth Walker. The funeral service will be Monday, August 11, 2014 at 5:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
