Marvin Walker

Walker, Marvin Eugene “Whiz”, age 70, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Eugene and Margaret (Rathbone) Walker. He was a 1964 graduate of Alcoa High School. He retired from ALCOA Aluminum Company in 2004. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Rockford, Tennessee. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Jean (Edgar) Walker. He is also survived by his two sons, David (Amy) Walker of Maryville, Tennessee and Jason (Melissa) Walker of Maryville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jackson and Sophia Walker; brother, Mike (Barbara) Walker of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Sue (Larry) Graves of Friendsville, Tennessee, and Jenny (Phillip) Baird of Maryville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Sherwood Memorial Chapel from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM Pastor A.J. Crawford officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lakeview Baptist Church Missions Fund, Attention Pastor A.J.
