Nancy Ann Walter

Nancy Ann (Winder) Walter was born May 29, 1934, in south Fork, PA to William Ernest and Elizabeth Mae Winder. Nancy was only 4 years old when she lost her mother to pneumonia. She grew up in South Fork and graduated from South Fork-Croyle High school. After graduation she went to Cleveland, Ohio where she met her husband William Alvin Walter. They were married on July 31, 1954. Together they had two children: David William and Noreen Lynn. Nancy worked for Walmart for over 20 years before she retired. Nancy and Bill lived in Florida for 44 years before moving to Tennessee to live with their daughter and family. Bill passed away only 3 months after moving. Nancy enjoyed being back in the mountains liked where she was born.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband William Walter, her parents William and Elizabeth, her son David William Walter, her sister Dorothy Jean Winder, and her brothers William Winder and Russell Winder.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Noreen Lynn and husband Robert Alan Saphner. Nancy was blessed with numerous grandchildren due to both her daughter and son adopting. Her grandchildren Kristin Kmecik, Kory, Kimberly, Kayley, Alexandra, Mariana, Samara and Reagan Saphner; Stacie Sokolonski, Greg, Bryan and Geoffrey Walter.

Great grandchildren; Levi, Josiah, Malachi, Layne, Eli, and Niko Kmecik, Maddie and Nolan Sokolonski, Gabriel, Luke and Savannah Walter, and Greyson Walter.
