Paul Robertson

ROBERTSON, Paul E., age 88 of Knoxville, departed this life on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Waiting to welcome him was the love of his life, wife, June Robertson. He was lovingly known by family and friends as "Daddy Paul". Also preceded in death, parents, Ed and Nellie Robertson; sister, Hazel Nicely; and a life long group of old buddies. Paul was retired from White Store as manager after over 40 years of service. He served in the United States Army during World War II, in the Pacific Theatre. He was a long time member of Seymour United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a man of few words, and a giver of himself. He showed his love through gifts of labor, by painting your room, helping you move or any way he could give of himself. Survived by daughter, Pat Miller and husband, Chuck; and Peggy Berry; granddaughters, Timi Smith, Lindy Curtsinger, Lisa Houser, Pam Waddell and Angie Brewer; ten (10) great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and neighbors. Service will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at 3:00 pm, in the Chapel of Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Bradley Hyde officiating. Visitation we be from 2-3:00 pm, prior to the service. Interment service to follow, with full Military Honors, in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seymour United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 1488, Seymour, TN 37865, in honor of Paul.
