William Joseph Moyers, Sr. born on May 17, 1938 to Hal Lee and Lois Moyers in Camden, Tennessee, went to join his eternal family and grandchildren, Mansuela, Kimberly, and Matthew, surrounded by the infinite love and support of his wife and children on May 10, 2014.
Bill spent his young life in the Camden area with his siblings, Fred (dec), Peggy (dec), Jean, Buck, Marie (dec) and Pat.
Bill felt he had the great privilege of meeting the woman of his dreams in 1961. He married Barbara Ann on December 23, 1961 and spent his life cherishing her until his last breath.
Bill was a family man first and foremost, doing what he could to support his growing family. For many years he did this by driving trucks all over the country, but his heart was always rooted at home. He showed great pride and love for all of his children. He will be terribly missed by Marylin (George) Dishong, William Moyers, Jr., Barbara (Willie) Hollimon, Lawrence (Caroline) Moyers, Betty (Paul) O’Brien and Billie Jo Moyers.
All of his grandchildren are honored to call him “Grandpa” or “Papa”. Grandpa was always bragging about his grandchildren’s accomplishments; whether it be taking their first steps or finishing their first year of college.
Join us in celebrating his life at Praise Lutheran Church at 1850 Big Springs Rd. Maryville, Tennessee. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00-5:00pm on Tuesday May 13, 2014 with a service to follow at 5:00pm with Pastor Derek Roberts officiating. William will be laid to rest at Mt.
