Dirk Thomas Kelly

Dirk was born on August 3, 1979, to his loving mom and closest friend, Aileen Kelly. He grew up in Vernon, BC and absolutely loved the Okanagan. Dirk was a true family man, whose happiest moments happened when he was with his children - Tobias, Darius and Haven - playing, camping, fishing, biking and travelling. Every holiday, he loved to bring his children to Vernon, to spend quality time with his mother, stepfather, siblings, grandmother and extended family. Dirk also loved to eat. His mom was his favorite cook; hence, the holidays!

Besides eating, Dirk enjoyed working out all the time. He loved to hike, mountain bike, fish, swim and just be outdoors. He was a dedicated gym rat, and continually pressed himself to his limits for the sake of good health. Remember, he loved to eat!

Dirk loved to explore new places and new activities with his children. Every weekend saw him and his kids somewhere fun and enriching, and his kids loved him completely.

Dirk loved his job as Foreman for PCL Contractors, West Coast Inc. and deeply appreciated all the encouragement he received from his bosses, especially, Gary and Jim. He was proud to be an employee of PCL. Dirk was deeply loved by many people for his good, kind heart and wonderful sense of humour, and he will be sorely missed.

A Celebration of Dirk’s Life will be held in the Okanagan at a time and place to be announced.
