Mrs. Moix was a very sweet lady. Alan and I were best buds growing up so I spent a lot of time at the Moix home. I always knew if I was over there around lunch or supper time Mrs. Moix was going to to fix us something to eat. That lady could cook! I use to comment about the cinnamon rolls she hand made, probably the best thing in the world I’ve ever tasted, so she writes down the recipe and gives it to me. My dad loved her German Chocolate cake. Whenever he mentioned how much he would love to have one of Gracie’s cakes she would fix one up and bring it to him the next day. She was a beautiful lady that would do anything for you and loved making people happy.
Alan, your family was always pretty special to me and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Thinking of all of you, and you Mom especially. Remembering our days at St. Theresa and growing up in SW City.

I remember your Mom being a great cook and baker. My mom reminded me that every time my Dad would mention a German Chocolate Cake, sweet Gracie would make one for him. She was a loving, kind, and sweet lady. 

Her earthly journey is over, eternal rest give to her Lord and let perpetual life shine upon her.

We are so sorry to hear that your mother passed away. She was such a dear friend to our mom and was always so kind and generous to everyone. There was never a better duo of "cafeteria ladies" than Gracie and Elizabeth. We'll never forget their fabulous homemade cinnamon rolls! Our families grew up together. We went to the same schools, lived in the same neighborhood, and our dads carpooled to work at the Federal building downtown. She and her late husband were good friends with my parents. I will always remember how sweet she was, and she had one of those laughs that made you laugh along with her. She touched the life of many people. She will be missed! Prayers for the family she left behind.

Your laughter made me smile inside and out, your heart and home were always open allowing me to visit anytime (literally ANYTIME) and share precious conversations and even more precious, the time to be with your warm, accepting family. YOU (and your family) made me feel like a part of YOUR family from day one! The memories we had on Azalea will always be fun, crazy, hilarious and soothing thoughts in my mind. You and your Hubby were the parents I needed when mine were hundreds of miles away. You were a HUGE blessing to me! YOU blessed my life by allowing me to be a wonderful, heartfelt part of YOURS!
