Betty enjoyed quilting, sewing, and spending time with her flower garden. She was a member of the Avilla Missionary Baptist Church and loved her church family. But what brought her joy the most was spoiling her grandkids. Betty liked to cook and bake for her family, and enjoyed eating her chocolate candy bars.
She is survived by her children Dennis (Carol), Collie (Joan), Marvin (Sandra), and Glenna (Gary); eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Shoemaker, parents, eight brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild, Sara Marie.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home (7401 AR-5, Alexander, AR, 72002)
