Mr. Godfrey dropped by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation office one day. He read an article in the newspaper about our upcoming Great Strides walk and he was moved to make a donation in Tina's honor. It was truly our honor to get to know Mr. Godfrey and to hear stories about Tina and how she was the first poster child in Arkansas for the CF Foundation. I was glad to share how much progress has been in made in treatments, even though we still have much work to do. CF is a different disease today than when Tina suffered. We were so lucky to get to know Mr. Godfrey.

It has been such an honor and blessing to get to know Van Godfrey in the past year. He always had a friendly greeting, a smile, and a positive outlook on facing the physical challenges brought on by life. He often told me the latest news of the day, and was an eager participant in life here, while being totally aware of a joyous life to come beyond this earth. My life has been enriched by knowing him.
